About the Artist:
Charles Tullio was active/lived in New York. Charles Tullio's real name was Charles Stutzer. He was known for his paintings of Jewish subjects, especially Hassidim. He suffered from serious eye disease and nearly went blind. An operation in the late 1970s or early 1980s saved his sight and he was able to continue to paint.
