Antique Chinese bowl with fluted edges. Hand painted enamel panels in an intricate brocade pattern on the inside. The very center of the bowl is decorated with a large flower and two butterflies. The outside of the bowl has blue floral pattern with alternating red and white (light tan/gray) sections with gold on edges. Measures 9" wide and 2.5" tall. In excellent condition. No chips or cracks.
Marked on bottom with four apocryphal characters in blue underglaze. Appears to read: “Cheng Hua Nian Zhi” which translates as “Made in Cheng Hua" (Chenghua).
